Photo Wildlife Rescue and Transport.

This is the time of year when wildlife rescue and Rehabilitation really ramp up. We have lots and lots of babies coming in needing care, we have adults more active in the community getting injured more often. As rehabbers we are pretty much tied to the house so that we can care for the animals. It is becoming increasingly difficult for us to get the animals from 1 rehabber to another who specializes in that kind of animal and we need Transportation Volunteers. A Transportation Volunteer is someone who has their own transportation and is willing to pick up an animal that has already been captured and take them to someone who is going to care for them. We are also in need of individuals who are interested in Rescue and Transport. Someone who's interested in Rescue and Transport would again have their own transportation and would be cross trained in capture and restraint. They may be asked to help rescue as well as bring the injured or sick animal to either a vet or a wildlife rehabilitator.
