Finger Lakes Celtic Society has undertaken the task of producing more than just a festival. It's an annual cultural event in the Rochester/Finger Lakes Region. Just a short jaunt away in the town of Farmington, NY. Become Celtic for the day (if you're not already) and enjoy a pleasing array of sights, sounds and smells. This event includes: Highland Heavy Games, Bag Piping competition, Dance Exhibitions, an array of Celtic Music, Demonstrations, A large Gathering of Scottish Clans, Historical & Heritage Societies, Artisans, Kids Activities, and so much more. The Celts are traditionally the people from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, Isle of Mann, Britannia or Galicia. The festivals goal is to give you a true Celtic feeling and a wonderful day of entertainment and culture. Showing pride in heritage and wanting to share the enjoyment that all our participants bring to this event. It's a fun filled, family friendly day for all ages, even things for the wee ones to do.

Photo 2nd Annual MacArthur Center Beer Festival

The MacArthur Center Beer Festival is back for a second year! Join us for an amazing day of CRAFT BEER, Music, Games, Food and Fun. The gates open at Noon so come early and stay late to enjoy all the day has to offer! Last call is 5:30 PM and taps will close at 6:00 PM. A limited amount of tickets are available! Tickets for access to sampling of EVERYTHING are currently only $30 in advance, or $40 at the door! We will have craft brewers, cider, wine & a distillery from all over the region sampling some of their award winning beverages. They will be pouring some of your favorites and introduce you to some new items as well! Please remember to drink responsibly…and plan ahead if you need a place to stay or a ride home for the evening. Photo CGT Lunchtime Seminar: Concerning Words: An International Vocabulary of Climate

CGT Member Professor Benjamin Orlove, joined by moderator CGT Academic Director Professor Laura Neitzel, will be presenting on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and the evolution of its uniquely constrained language. Professor Orlove teaches in the Master’s Program in Climate and Society, for which he serves as Associate Director. He is a Senior Research Scientist at the International Research Institute for Climate and Society, and is 1 of the 4 co-directors of the Center for Research in Environmental Decisions. Registration is encouraged but not required. A light lunch will be available.
